After reading this post, I want you to say - out loud - three things you're going to do next.
It sounds absurd, I know! But just by thinking about what you will do, you're already arranging your mind to take action. You're making a list of things you could do, things you should do, things you've been avoiding doing. But even if it's as simple and low-stakes as "I will place that order for sticky-notes" it is an action. Something has been added to your environment that wasn't there before.
You can apply this all over your professional life; focus on the next three things that need to happen, then do them. If the next thing you need to do is too big, like grow my profit by 20% in the next year, break it down into the next three things you can do to make that happen.
If you're overwhelmed with the volume of Things To Do, again, bring it back to three things you can do next. What is stressing you out the most? Focus on that. Now, what are three things you can do to tackle that problem?
Say them out loud. Write them down. Go do them!
